The P.C.I.F. is a non-governmental charitable organization started by R.Gopalakrishnan at Mumbai in the year 1982. Gopal to all his friends and well wishers conceived the idea of an agency to address the needs of patients requiring hospitalization, after an agonizing experience with a family member’s treatment. PCIF has now grown into a full-fledged charitable organization and helped thousands of people from both India and abroad.

PCIF occupies a unique position in the country’s health sector as one of the non-governmental organization providing health services to needy and deserving people in Mumbai and also providing in community based psychosocial rehabilitation and training in the field of Mental Health.

Objectives of PCIF:

- To provide help for people who are having psychiatric difficulties and need support to
    be rehabilitated and integrated with family and society.
- To provide short stay facility to the mentally ill to learn social skills.
- To provide family counseling and family therapy to the family.
- To provide Day Care services with suitable therapeutic intervention to enable the             people with mental illness to learn basic living skills.
- To promote mental health in the community.
- To collaborate with all other similar and related organizations.
- To implement therapeutic community principles in the treatment.

Prompt Care International Foundation is registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860 - No.: 530/1995/GBBSD dated 24/05/1995 and The Bombay Public Trusts Act 1950 No.: F - 17635 dated 14/09/1995. Donations eligible under Sec 80 - G of the Income Tax Act. Foreign Donations are accepted under Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 1972 Registration No.: 083780796.
